Anyone else following the Bollea Vs Gawker shit show? So far AJ Daulerio is just the worst at this, and Emma Carmichael was asked by the jury if she ever had intimate relationships with AJ or Nick Denton. Bubba the Love Sponge (can’t believe I just typed that) won’t have to testify and that’s going to put a damper on Gawker’s defense. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Nick Denton continues his testimony tomorrow.

It took me some time to realize you weren’t just putting random words together in an almost logical order, and were in fact discussing something real.
I am also amused that THAT is apparently how Mr. Hogan dresses in court. (Unless that photo is from elsewhere.)

I haven’t watched any of it, but I hear Gawker is doing poorly, and is expected to get turned upside down and shaken until every last dime falls out.
Or maybe they’ll get some sort of magical ‘second wind’, just after Bollea’s lawyers deliver their final blow. Allowing them to somehow land blow after devastating legal blow, quickly turning the tables.
Naa, that seems farfetched.

For the sake of argument, Bollea would win and the jury would need to award damages to Bollea against Gawker, Denton, an Daulerio; they may award a lesser amount than the $100M that Bollea is asking. Obviously Daulerio and Denton can’t pay that, so I think the burden would fall onto Gawker. Gawker files an appeal. If Gawker loses the appeal they would probably file for bankruptcy, but I’m not sure how that would affect Kinja.

Gawker pays the Kinja bills. Oppo would need to find another outlet to continue in its present form, would it not?
Then again, Gawker as we know it might cease, but something else (possibly with the same people/name) could pop up in its place.

This might not be the popular opinion, but someone has to pay for the fact that someone thought someone would want to see that guy naked. I don’t even want to think about that guy naked. But now I am. And I hate myself. And I hate that someone.
I also think anyone who names themselves “Bubba the Love Sponge” deserves to be used to clean up the KFC in Chinatown’s bathroom . (Don’t ask me why it’s so filthy. It might have something to do with being exactly a block from the cool little super-authentic joint I ate all that fried pork in, but I’ll never confirm that. Of course, Gawker can probably find the video of the explosion and close-ups of the ruined boxer-briefs.)
Glad I got that off my chest, I mean ‘shorts’, I mean ‘out of my shorts’, ahh nevermind.
